Hunger 101

The objective of Hunger 101 is to educate the public about hunger and poverty while building awareness about hunger relief efforts and pursuing ideas that involve participants in solving the problems of hunger and poverty.

Corporate, faith based, school, civic and other groups are welcome to attend. Classes vary in scope, size and length and are tailored to each group. We encourage volunteerism as a component of the Hunger 101 experience and invites all participants to volunteer with us before or after the class. For more information, contact us at info@

Volunteers make all the difference in the success of the food bank, doing mission critical tasks like sorting donated items, packing food boxes, hosting food and fund drives, gleaning fields, public speaking, aiding in administration and helping at special events.  Individuals and groups are welcome. Volunteer shifts are available Monday through Saturday both morning and afternoon. If you’re ready to get to work, just fill out our forms and our Volunteer and Food Drive Coordinator will get contact you shortly. Thank you!
